Imperial College London Mathematics School opened in 2023 on the Woodhouse College site in North London, run in partnership with Imperial College London and the Frontier Learning Trust. Its first-ever cohort produced striking results in August 2025 — 93.5% of grades at A*/A — placing it 2nd nationally among state schools in The Times' league table. - GCSE requirements
- Grade 8 or 9 in GCSE Maths; Grade 7+ in the relevant science (Physics and/or Chemistry, or Combined Science); Grade 5+ in English Language or Literature; an average of grade 7 across your best six GCSEs (for the 3 A-level route) or 7.5 across your best eight including English and Maths (for the 4 A-level route).
- Entrance test
- "Admissions Test" — around 90 minutes, all multiple choice, GCSE-Maths content only (no calculator), assessing algebraic fluency, problem-solving and potential for abstract mathematical thinking.
- Interview
- Two parts: a mathematics interview assessing skill and learning capability, and a personal interview covering career aspirations and fit.

- The 2026-entry deadline was Thursday 8 January 2026 (now closed); test 18 January 2026; interviews February 2026; offers March–April 2026; enrolment confirmed on GCSE results day in August 2026.

Culture & ethos
Explicit mission to widen STEM access for under-represented groups. Self-described as a "small, close-knit, compassionate community" with no school uniform. Runs mentored research projects, university-style masterclasses and coding/engineering short courses; hosts an annual Research Project Finale showcasing Year 12 students' six-month projects.
